Overview
A growing, YPO-led company headed into an M&A process with years of value creation on the line. It had strong fundamentals, an experienced team, a track record of performance, and experienced investment-banking support. The founder had worked with VERBED before, and brought us in despite having a tier-1 investment bank on the deal, because he wanted transaction materials with the execution to drive real competition among buyers. In a competitive market, the gap between strong fundamentals and a market-ready package can be measured in enterprise value.
The Mandate
VERBED was engaged to transform that material into a market-ready presentation. Working closely with the management team and their advisors, we built a sophisticated buyer experience designed to make the company's value immediately legible and to inspire confidence from the moment a buyer opened the materials.
Outcome
The package was strong enough that the company used it instead of its investment bank's own materials. It drove a highly competitive process and pushed the final transaction value millions of dollars above the original estimates.
